Tom,

Your savage 1899 was made in 1903-04. At that time savage was making six models of rifle.

Im not being a smart a$$ when I say it could be worth hundreds, or thousands.

Model and condition will determine value.

To determine model some info will be needed.

How long is the barrel, and is it round or octagon or 1/2 and 1/2.

Condition:
How is the finish on the metal, and wood?

Has it been drilled for sling studs or scope mounts.

Has the butt been cut or a pad added.

How does the bore look.

Model? Metal Condition? Wood condition? caliber? Extra holes? Better yet, a photo!
Dont ask what its worth without giving some info!!
