I was wondering if anyone had any information regarding this gun. I bought it used a few years back, with no papers or box. I was wondering:
-How many were made in this caliber?
-How much is it worth(for insurance)?
-Is there anywhere out there to buy an original box and papers for it?
Thanks!

Thanks. The gun is definately a NMB, and bears the inscription "Made in the 200th Year of American Liberty" on the top of the barrel. I've heard guesses of anywhere from normal value for the gun to significantly more for the collector value. I want to insure it with my homeowners insurance, and hopefully, someday, pass it on to my son. I believe that something like this that both commemorates and signifies our freedom, should not be used as a financial investment, but rather, an investment in the continuation of that freedom. Thanks again.

I sold a LIBERTY 45 LC several months ago but it was a convertable with box for $450. I am in the process of selling most of the LIBERTY models I have as they did not appreciate as I expected.
You would be much better off investing in 3 screw old models. Prices just seem to keep going up on the 3 screws.

Thank you, but, as I said, it is not a financial investment for me. I bought this gun, not fully realizing what it was, with the intent of shooting it(an activity I thoroughly enjoy), but would like to preserve it for my children. I don't care if it's only worth $10 to a collector. Thanks, again, for your input.
