I've been hunting around for public rifle ranges in the lower NY area and am finding it difficult. I printed out the listing from the NRA site and called some of the numbers with little success. Most of the numbers were wrong and the one number that someone actually answered was someone home number and not the range.
So, if there is any rifle ranges in this area or even open land that I could set up targets and practice I would be very appreciative.

Please define Lower New York. There are several rifle ranges on Long Island, if this is what you mean.
