I bought a Remington Model 11 in 20ga 25 yrs ago and hunted with it for the next 15yrs before retiring it.The gun is all original except for the stock which has been refinished, other than that the gun is in very good shape. The serial # is 1099648, I was wondering about when the gun was made and the approx.value,thanks.

Hi bigcurt,I checked all the markings on my barrel and there was a bunch of things stamped on the barrel. On the top it was stamped -M99648,on the left side there was FULL WTT with a >C and on the right side there was an oval with 3 letters inside and they were R.E.P,there also was a marking that looked like a mushroom.Does this help you ?

i'd say your shotgun was made in sept of 48 by the WTT code on the barrels and that was the last year of production for the md 11,,value i'd estimate it to be worth 250-450 depending on the rib and grade and condition other than the stock work .. but the stock refinishing might hurt the value unless done nicely,,there were some higher grade models that will bring more but the prices i gave you would be a basically plain jane standard model,,and if your looking to sell it a dealer at a gunshop might offer in the 150-200 range ,,
