Hi! I have a 22 remington model 66 in good cond: with black diamond. Does anyone know its value? and how to tell its exact yr. of manufacture? Thanks!

Hi! Kim Thanks so very much for responding to my post!! It was warmly appreciated!!
hello,,as for dating your remington ,,there should be a date letter on the left side of the barrel near where it meets the receiver ,,or sometimes a letter sufix before the serial number will help
I have an 1980 A model in, from what I hear is a rare color ....green?
Any ideas of value, looks mint no rust and never cleaned, bought from original owner from military.
hello ,,that would be the 66SG for sage greenand value for it is 300-400 ..mabey a little more if super nice ,,the nylon series rifles have rizen in the past 10 years and i can't beleive that a 100 buck rifle has went up like it has ,,but i see them in these price ranges all the time at shows ..so someone's buying them to dictate the high prices ..
I have seen this rifle for as much as 675 from Guns America. Honestly they do a big markup on all firearms. I wouldn't buy from them.
Thank You jj For the information on the model 66 I have. Ive been told it could be worth that much before but wanted to verify it. Thanks again!
Blue Book for the Model 66 "Black Diamond" is $325.00 USD for Exc. Cond. and $300.00 USD in V.G. Cond. However, Blue Book values do not always indicate what they actually sell for (its a guide) as it all depends on supply and demand and how badly one wants that firearm....
I know gun dealer in Fla who paid $800 for a R-66-SG
You may also note that you are posting a response to a 2 year old thread. Prices have fluctuated over that period of time.
Yes, I did see that. Just keeping it "current"
HI! KIM, THANKS FOR THE INFORMATION, AND RESPONDING TO MY POST IT WAS WARMLY APPRECIATED!!
