hello,,carcano rifles are starting to find there place in military collectors eyes,,and are starting to rise in value,,is yours a rifle model or a carbine? The carbines are worth a little more these days and have always had a collector following ..one reason theres more people buying the carbine model 38 is it was the model used in the Kennedy shooting and in original military configuration and good+ condition.. these will bring 200-300 ..there also was a model 1891 calvary carbine that came with a folding bayonet,,these will bring 150-250 and again ..if original and in good condition..if it's got a long barrel then it's proably a rifle model 1891 or possibly a fat40..either of these will bring around 150-250 again depending on the condition and if all original,,these prices are to military collectors or at a good military auction..but bear in mind that these prices are for original examples,,complete and in original military configuration as they left the factory..not sporterized examples or ones missing parts or refinished in any way!!
...gunshop dealers usually don't buy them unless they can buy them very cheap..50-75 bucks,,then they put them in the rack for 100-150
