I have a .41 Colt in good . All parts are matching numbers . But the loading gate has 321 stamped on it .And the half cock position of the hammer is worn . A gunsmith told me it could be repaired for about a $150 . Last patent number on the frame is Jan 19,75 . I am interested in what the high & low value of the gun is . The same gunsmith told me it was worht at least $1000 .
Thanks

Sir. Is this a single Action Army in .41 Colt ?
If so, it probably is worth "at least" that much. It needs to be sold at the Tulsa gun show, a twice a year show where $1000 is change to the Colt crowd.

Thanks for the feed back . Yes , it is a single action . My Dad found it when he was a young man in his 20's . He passed on last year at the age of 92 . It is in good condition . I need to get in contact with Colt and find out to whom it was sold to . Hardware store ,gun shop or an individual etc. . It would interesting to know who purchased it .
Thanks - BILL

Even though the ammo for that caliber is many dollars per round, that Colt should not be shot if it was free ammo. Your Single Action is worth many thousands of dollars. I am not even qualified to guess but I sold my early Colt 44-40 for $2500 over ten years ago and they have gone way up since. Good luck and a big thanks to your Dad. Mine died at 88 back in 1983 and I still miss him.--DF
