You may want to check "Shootgun News" or "Mitchel Mauser's" web site. Mitchel is selling a complete package all the acutraments for about $400. Extra for hand select collector.
I got one from them and it's beautiful! This is not mean't to be an advertisement.

It would depend what you're looking for. If you want a shooter and don't mind paying for it a Mitchells will fill the bill. If you want a real German k98 that retains the history you have a few choices. You can find an RC for $250-350 Which will not have matching numbers as the Russians took them as "spoils of war" and proceeded to use them as "make work" programs to keep Ivan busy. They simply took these rifles apart, put all the parts in big bins then reassembled them with no regard to serial numbers. This is why you'll see parts from various makers on the same rifle, but they do retain their own history. These are the rifles Mitchell's uses. They buy RC's, tear them down and buff them heavily. Once they do this they renumber the parts so they have the same numbers on them. They sand the stocks very heavily as well. Then for some unknown reason, they polish the bolt and leave it in the white to sell. There is no history left in these rifles and are of no value as a historical artifact. They're probably a good shooter if that's what you want.
If you have deeper pockets you can find bolt mis-kmatch rifles for $500-$800. They're very nice rifles and typically vet bringbacks.
The only step left is an all matching pristine piece that'll set ya back from $1200 to $8000.
It's all in whats important to you.
