I have a model 94 30-30 WIN #210xxxx(7 digits). I would really like to know if this rifle has seen any war time. I think the year is 1955, but i cant remember what the site said. This rifle was given to me by my Great Grandfather and Im pretty sure this is the gun he said he carried during the war. I know about guns, but not this old. PLEASE HELP. I would also like to know its worth for insurance purposes it is in very good condition and I have fired it! AWSOME!!!! It has sling hooks which are both in great condition as well, but no sling. Overall its a PEACH of a gun! PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!

Dogman,
The serial number dates the manufacture of the rifle to 1955. I strongly doubt that the rifle was ever used in anything that could be described as a war. Bar fight? Maybe. It is probably worth around $500 without knowing anything about the condition.

2bit,
Thank you for your response and I will try to get some photos for and accurate opinion on the value. It seems to be in pretty good condition though. There are no cracks or scratches(very clean) in the wood, fires like a CHAMP, it has the obvious look of a rifle which was used a lot but beloved and cared for all the same. It has fading in the finish on the top of the barrel (it fades into silver). I would also like to know if the value of the gun would change if I could find the original sling. The sling hooks are in excellent condition and perform properly, as in attach and release. I would say overall the rifle is in fair to good condition. Thank you again for your response and I respect your opinion from reading your past and many responses.
Thank You,
Shaun(Dogman)
