I checked the Parker Bros website and the serial number starting with 38XXX indicates it was manufactured in 1884. The following is inscribed between the barrells "PARKER BROS MAKERS, MERIDEN CONN, DAMASCUS STEEL. Also inscribed is "PAT D. MAR 26, 1875". The metal including the barrels has engraving. I would like to know what the value might be.

It sounds like a nice gun but I would need the grade, Barrel steel & length and condition. Some really shrp pictures of the engraving would also help. The Ser # would let me look it up in the Parker records to see if it is all original

Parker Man, My father in law (Korean War Veteran) has a vintage 16 gauged DBL 23"-26" Hammerless shotgun that was his father's, passed to the older son now over to the youngest son who is 77 yrs old. We live on family land that is over 200 yrs old. This weapon is in excellent condition and has not been fire in over 30 years. We would like to ascertain the true value of it. It is kept in a control environment room all parts as the same serial #, Pat D 1878 high grade steel barrel all original parts. Can you help me find the true value?
