I know that many can’t really understand why McCain chose Palin to be his running mate but I guess they don’t get what she is supposed to represent.
I’ve read this post on the Bitch Girls and couldn’t stop laughing. I think many people don’t get it that Palin is not supposed to be a All American classical type of women that can sweep liberal votes. Yes she hunts and fish and she is a member of the NRA and she has a large family.
She won’t appeal to liberal votes even if she is the first woman candidate for her position. She appeals to many voters that were not assure of McCain commitment to promote gun ownership rights. She appeals to pro life supporter that can be sure of her support. She appeals to some middle class voters. She appeals to many more groups withing the electoral groups that McCain try to reach.
I guess that her presence in the race can make it harder for McCain to reach some of the undecided votes but it makes the decision much easier.
