Otis cleaning kits are used by every branch of the military and most law enforcement agencies. Use very little solvent and always draw the burned powder residue and debris from the receiver out of the muzzle end of the barrel. Use very little lubricant if any at all in the bore due to the fact that when the powder burns as the shot is taken it also burns anything in the bore as well creating burned carbon deposits, much like the deposits you might find on burned valves in an engine.
