Can anyone help? Have recently come across old (1955, according to the box) Smith and Wesson .32 Long Colt revolver with a 4" barrel, still in box, in very good condition. It is a Model 30. Any ideas as to what the value would be? Would appreciate any info.

hi no1,
your S&W model 30 is considered an I frame. it was switched to a J frame in 1961. S&W refered to the caliber as 32 S&W long or 32 New Colt Police. i've still got some feelers out looking for a value. i'll let you know if i find anything.

hi

first let me tell you that i don t really know the price of the gun but if i were you i wouldn't sell because of being an antic and for being a SMITH AND WESSON but my opinion doesn't really matter because i don t know your reasons but let me tell you that i presume the cost is not under the 800 dollars but let me check and give you exact information.

just for the record think very much if you are going to sell it because that could value more in the future. JUST THINK ABOUT IT

i wish the best for you it was a pleasure

i found a couple of model 30s at a gun show this weekend, both where in the $400 range. this is a pic of one of them.
