old octagon

my grandpa has an old octagon barrel rifle that his grandpa used for hunting. the stock is broken and i cannot find a manufacteres name or any numbers on the gun at all i was wondering where to look on the gun or how i could id the gun.

the numbers on mine were on the top of the trigger guard

you have a warnant rifle could be a number of calibers mostly rimfire..not much info on them either in value guides but ,,may be marked Liego,,thats about all i can tell ya about it ,,i found a pic of one matching yours to a T but no description other than a name,,found it in a book titled arms of the world 1911 and it sold back then for 14.50,,so far thats all i can tell ya ..i thought at first it was a flobert pattern rifle but i guess i was wrong..

been looking for info on this gun for a long time. was not in the mood to deal with much. But will see if my gun is the same, neat weapon of the day.

I have the same rifle. I've had it for about 30 years but haven't found much about it either. If you find anymore info please post.

Scary, I have nearly identical gun here too! It belonged to my Grandfather and has broken stock also in the same place. I have never found any info on it and have owned it for about 30 years. Thanks for the thread!
