hello ,,if you can sell it for 2000 ,,take the money and run!lol,,lol,,unless it's mint with a mint box or a special high grade rare variation,, i wouldn't hold your breath on that price figure..lol..a standard grade md 12 in "excellent" condition in my part of the woods would/might bring around 800 mabey a little more in the right conditions at a good online auction,,but thats for an etremly nice one and thats a "BIG" MABEY!! ,,i see them alot in the 275-450 range at shows and even at flea markets and if ya look enought you can find them online in those price ranges ,,theres alot of model 12s out there and theres alot of people that think there worth a fortune but in reality TV ..they aren't the easiest shotgun to sell and get good money out of ,,we sold a few at our gun shop and online and some were decent and some were so-so but found that it was hard to get 400 for them online ,,lots of people looked but theres just soo many of them flooding the market it's hurt the values ,,and today your biggest intrest is to collectors more than someone looking for a good hunting shotgun,,winchester made almost 2 million md 12s and although reguarded by some as one of the best shotguns produced by winchester.. prices aren't thru the roof and demand is a so-so venture ,,at least in my eyes ..and like i said i worked at a shop for 6 years and saw alot of them come and go but really can't remember us getting more than 400-500 for them and that price was online with millions of people looking at them,,sure theres people selling them ..or should i say listing them online for crazy prices but the quesion is are they selling ,,and the answer is usually NO,,but on occasion you will have aperson who can't live without a gun and will pay double what it's worth for one reason or another but those people don't come along too often,,i'm hoping you didn't pay near what you think it's worth because if you did you may have a tough time selling and recouping your money,,sorry..
