Guest,

You will have to excuse me but I am not familiar with a Model 79XTR. A Model 70 XTR maybe. Just a typo? You want to check that for me?

The model 94 just sneaks in as a 1963 vintage rifle. Pre 64 rifles do get a bit of a premium in the collecting world.

Yes, sorry it was a typo, the 9 being right next to the 0. It is a model 70. Thanks for the info on the rifle. I have had it for about 10 years and was told it was pre 64 but never knew how old it was.

Thanks for the info on the model 94 that is. The model 70 is not pre 64 I don't think.

That's kind of what I thought had happened. I do not live in a world of perfect typing skills by any chance.

I'll have to check another data source at the house because the listing I have for Model 70 only goes to 1,537,135. And that date is 1981. So it is quite new. You didn't ask but I have seen 70XTR rifles in the $650 to $800 range.

I bought it in the late 80s so that narrows it down a bit. Thanks.
