I have a M1 Carbine in excellent condition nanufactured by Winchester. My dad received the carbine as a gift from a colonel in the Army sometime in the early 1960's with serial number 1241XXX. It came with a bayonet mount and adjustable rear sight. Any information would be appreciated.....Thanks

depends on whether it has the original barrel, and what shape the barrel is in. your carbine has been rebuilt, since it has bayonet lug and adjustable sight. sight unseen, if it has the original barrel and stock, about 700. About 650 if it does not.
