hello ..your winchester is an early gun and there is collectors intrest in it ..values for early winchester depend alot on condition ,,and it must be all original with no alterations done..finish must be original on both stocks and metal..your rifle was made in 1900 and these will usually bring 800-1000+ at auction or to a winchester collector ,,,these early winchester can bring much more at good antique firearm auctions in the right aeras of the country ..but it's like everything else these days the market dictates the values ..and some nice old guns although worth book values ,,can sometimes be dead in the water at book prices..unless very rare ...there are winchester collectors out there willing to pay preimum prices for particular guns or variants ..but it's getting tougher to find them these days

..there are monthly publication like The Gun List where you could take out an add in and that may be an avenue to look into ..or you could sell online at gunbrokers.com ,,auction arms ..or even gunsamerica..but the first 2 are a auction style fees after it sells sites and gunsamerica is a fixed price and fees program..gunbrokers.com is the largest online gun auction site that i'm aware of and usually you can get results there if you write a good description and can add good clear pics..but be aware that ca. has pretty strict laws reguarding gunsales ..so check them out before you sell online ..you may be able to find a local dealer who does online auctions for a commission of the final sales ..some charge a flat rate and some base it on the final value +fees incured ..you may have to go thru a dealer anyway for the proper paperwork to another dealer ..and make sure you send it to a dealer ..don't get caught selling to someone ya don't know online ..always deal thru a dealer only and only ship to a dealer after you get a licence!!and only ship to the address on the licence..you can sell it online but like i said make sure the dealer will accept it from a private individual and this info should also be in your description before you sell it ..thats your best avenues for selling it and having collectors see what your selling and you should do ok online ,,you could also do some searching online for winchester collectors and see what results you can find that way ..but again only ship to someone that has a licence and is willing to accept a private gun from a private owner.. and never ship before you get the licence and payment ..
