Hi hunter, I'm not familiar with the v/a but i have seen a few 223/12 gauge models and they're used alot by hikers who hunt the forest here and want a firearm for any situation. The price nancy gave seems on the mark. The calibers of the firearm would dictate what it would be used for but as a dual purpose rifle/shootgun it's a very good choice if you're out squirrel hunting and happen to run up on a hog or whitetail or just hiking the forest prepared for anything.
