My grandfather (who died at age 87 just two years ago) gave me an old Iver Johnson 20 gauge he used to use to hunt small game. It has a serial number 92025C. It has the head of an owl on the butt just below the Iver Johnson name. It has a 28" barrel. It is a single shot and has what I believe would be called a pistol grip.
On the side it says Iver Johnson Arms and Cycle Works, Fitchburg Mass. U.S.A. (?), Champion
Does anyone know anything about this gun? How can I find out what year it was made? What is it worth, if anything?
I would appreciate any answers you may be able to give me.
Thanks!

hi pastork,
The value would be in the 150 - 250 range. A Great source of information on this firearm is the book by W.E. Goforth titled, "Iver-Johnson Arms & Cycle Works Firearms 1871-1993".

I have a 20ga 28" barrel Iver Johson arms & cycle works
fitchburg mass. But what I find odd about this is the serial number behind the trigger gard is not a number at all, but is CUTI, after removing the for arm stamp into the wood that is lays against the barrel is roman numeral II R X II. Anyone have any idea about this?
