Hi im new to here and i would like some help on a rough estimate on a marlin model 1893 in 38-55 hexagon barrel 25 1/2 " long it has the specal smokeless steel marking on the barrel made in new-haven ct. usa it has almost all the blueing on the barrel and recever a little wereing on the leaver and the hammer. The hammer and the leaver is also blued if that helps and and the sereil number is 343 xxx. I have no clue of how much its really worth but i only paided 500 bucks for it so i hope i got a good deal.

hello and welcome to the boards ,,you got a very good deal in good condition it books for 550,,yours was made in 1905 and sounds pretty nice for a 93 and i'd say that it could bring around 1000+ at a good online auction or to a marlin collector,,depending how he sees the condition..i always liked the old marlins and you don't see many nice ones around these days ,,so i think ya did good and it will surely go up in years to come..
