My Winchester was my grandfathers. I am 75 years of age. The Serial is a low one 39124.
It has an octagon barrel. Can you help me find out the value for insurance?

Dear sir,

I need to know which model the rifle is. It should be marked on the upper tang. That is the long metal piece behind the hammer. If there is a tang peep sight it will be under it. You will need to remove it and take a look. Or post a photo of the rifle and I can tell from that.

Keep in touch. It must be a special rifle. And chances are a bit one the old side.
