Rifle was made in 1943-44. Interesting because savage claimed no rifles where made during the war. These rifles are seen from time to time so its not time to retire yet

Tell me the barrel length and shape of the for arm. From this we can determine model.

Tell me about metal finish,nice blue,grey or rusty. Wood, dings or scratches or cracks?
Does it have a scope or holes for mounting a scope? Does it have sling studs? From the condition we can get a closer guess at value.
