My grandmother left me a Winchester model 64, 30-30 rifle. Serial number 1098760. It is in very good condition and she used to hunt deer and bear with it. It still fires. Can you give me an idea what it's worth?

Guest,

What a girl!!! I love her. Please read the following and get back to me. I'll be glad to help you with this special rifle. I love stories like that.

I can tell you now it was manufactured in 1935. A total of 66783 were manufactured from 1933 to 1957. It was the 10,923rd one made.

Your Model 64 was manufactured in November if 1935, but it was not the 10,923rd one made. More than likely, it was within the first 1,000 Model 64s that were manufactured.

The potential collector value will be determined by several things...

(1) Which variant is it (e.g. Sporting Rifle, Deer Rifle, Carbine, or Deluxe Carbine)?

(2) The graded condition

(3) Is it still 100% factory original (not reblued, recoil pad added, etc.)?
