sounds like a md 1891 argentine mauser ,, made around the 1891 date should have a almost full lenght stock with a upper handguard,,should also have what looks like a mag underneith but is actually the fixed box mag,,should be chambered for 7.65x 53 mm ammo sometimes refered to as 7.65 argentine,,i've seen some that were converted in the 50's to shoot 30-06 ammo by rechambering them,,the bullet is a little bigger but it was something done in the 50 for an inexpencive hunting rifle because of the amount of cheap 30-06 after the korean war ,,i don't know if yours is original military or it has been sporterized but originals withcorrect matching wood and metal parts will bring 200 fair -400 excellent and matching,,if sporterized take the numbers and cut them in half unless a professional sporterization and in that case there a hands on get what ya can for them,,always try to keep military rifles original because the military rifles in original condition will bring far more to a military collector than a sporter version to a hunter..and people that tell you it's worth more sporterized don't tell you how much they spent to make it worth more and it still won't be the price of a nice original all matching military collectable rifle or pistol!!i've seen guys spend hundreds of dollars sporterizing a 500-1000 dollar military rifle and turning it into a 300-350 sporter,,that they have trouble selling if they ever deceide to!
