Hi,

I recently received a pistol from my dad that is a family heirloom. It's my first pistol and I'm looking for an owners manual so I can clean it. Any other info you might know will be greatly appreciated also. on one side it says: MODEL OF 1911.U.S.ARMY
No 288325

and on the other side, it says:
PATENTED APR.20,1897.SEPT.9,1902
DEC.19,1905.FEB.14,1911.AUG.19,1913
COLT’S PT.F.A.MFG.CO
HARTFORD, CT.U.S.A.

Made in 1918...
Just put in 1911 manual and google and several pop up such as http://www.auto-ordnance.com/image/hg_manual100401.pdf

All the 1911's are the same doesn't matter the "exact" model...
