I just recently came into possession of this rifle and would like opinions as to it's value, so i can insure it properly.

The rifle is in excellent condition and has a saddle " sheath", that appears to need some strapping.
serial number 2101xxxxx indicates 1954 as manufacture date i believe.

there is reference to "carbine" as well.
what is the difference between a carbine and a regular style rifle please ?

hi ozle,
value of your 94 should be in the 450 - 550 range, the carbine had a 20" barrel where as the rifle had a 24" barrell. JMHO

what kind of certificate does it come with?does it say anything about a limited production ?if not an average 94ae USED will be in the 300-400 range in excellent condition..gunshop owners will proably offer 200-250 for it and sell it for the top numbers..
