thanks bigcurt. sorry, it is a Buffalo Bill Cody Commemorative. i think this one was made in 1968. it is not one of the limited 300 that has the gold on it. i know that they are worth alot mnore. i have attached photos. it sure is heavy but should be fun to shoot. this is my 3rd model 94 and i think i have the bug for them now.

The âï¿& frac12;Buffalo Bill Deluxe Commemorative Museum Presentation RifleÃ¢ï¿½ï¿ ½ was produced in 1968, and available at that time for a minimum donation of $1000.00 to help with the building of the Buffalo Bill Historical Museum in Cody, Wyoming. There were only 300 of these museum rifles produced. These deluxe rifles differ from the standard Buffalo Bill rifles built at the same time by having a XXX fancy hand-checkered walnut stock and forearm, all nickel parts were gold plated, gold-inlayed script of âï¿& frac12;Buffalo Bill CommemorativeÃ¢ï¿½ï ¿½ on the barrel and âï¿& frac12;W.F. Cody âï¿& frac12; Chief of Scoutsâï& iquest;½ on the upper tang, and the rifle came in a solid mahogany case. There is also a gold plated medallion of Colonel Cody and another medallion showing the rifleÃ¢ï¿½ï¿ ½s origin and serial number. If this is what you have, it has a retail value of about $3,000.00, today.

It does not need the gold plate or gold trigger, it is still one of the 300 made.
