In 1994 I won a Winchester 100th anniversary saddle ring carbine (30-30) at a Ducks Unlimited dinner. It has never been fired and stored in a high quality gun safe with dessicant. I do not have the boxes and documentation. I was approached to sell this gun, but do not know what a fair value is.

Thank you in advance.

Frost,

Most of my knowledge is of antique and original old Winchester rifles. There may have been varying grades of these rifle produced and that would affect the value but I am just not sure. I found on listed as below:

1994 WINCHESTER MODEL 94 CENTENNIAL 30-30 cal.
STANDARD GRADE 12000 mfg. $700 *
Engraved blue receiver, 20" half-round, half-octagon barrel

Sounds like your rifle. It is at this site. http://www.doublegun.com/roth.htm

Hope that helps

Thanks for the link and the help 2bit, but that is not my gun. Mine is the large hoop lever and the barrel is fully round. Here is a new picture.

Frost,

It must look like this then.
Asking $1100! Yikes.

It looks exactly like that...without the ornamental engraving on the receiver. It is just marked 1894-1994.

I appreciate all of your help 2bit. I've been a hunter and competitive shooter my entire life...just not a collector. I am out of my element here and your time and energy is appreciated.

No apologizing necessary. We all do what we like. If your rifle is not engraved then I would think the value would take a hit. Maybe to$800 or so. Like I said I am an old Winchester kind of guy. Just bought my 15 th for the year.

Take care
