your winchester was made in 1974 judging from your serial number,,there were brass saddle rings avalible as an aftermarket item that could be easily installed so yours may have had a few extras added but it may be a comememorative model of some kind ,,are there any other items like case colored frame or any other markings or engraving on the sides?if not and it's a standard post 64 levergun book values would be between 250-400 depending on condition,,dealer don't pay much for post 64 guns and i would say one would offer you between 150-250 for it unless it's something other than a standard levergun..

that sounds like an antique model 94,,winchester made these to resemble the old early md 94s,,the funny colored metal is whats refered to as case coloring ,,it a procedure done with a flame and gives the metal a purplish-spotty blueing,,when you said it had a gold colored saddle ring my first thought was the antique model, it also had scrol engraving on both sides ,,value for it is a little more than a standard model mabey in the 300-450 range if really clean and they were very nice examples of the md 94s with an antique look
