Model 1894 manufacture date

I have a model 1894 30-30 rifle serial #256890. This gun has a long octagonal barrel and the original iron sights. Can you tell me when the rifle was manufactured?

The rifle was manufactuered in 1902 by most accepted data. But that date is probably wrong. Cody Firearms Museum can tell you for sure. If you want to know the value, that is usually the next question, you will have to tell me the condition in some detail. Better yet send photos
