your model 92 winchester was made in 1906,,there were 2 carbine versions made ,,1 with a 20" barrel and 1 with either a 18,16,15or 14" barrel called the trapper carbine,,the standard rifle barrel lenght was 24" and current value for the carbine model with 20" barrel is 1200 fair-3500 excellent ,,if the trapper model with shorter barrel these prices could easily double,,if the standard rifle model with 24" barrel price would range from 700 fair- 5000 excellent ,,so it all depends on the barrel lenght for the 92's and then the grades come into play..

Thanks for the information. Another question would be what type of ammunition would you use for the .38WCF?

that would be 38-40..still available and alot of cowboy shooters still shoot it,,a search online should turn up many hits for new and vintage ammo,,old ammo boxes may be marked 38WCF where as newer ammo will be marked 38-40
