I am in possession of a couple of rifles, the first is the Winchester Model 1892 38WDF, and the second is the Winchester Model 1894 30 WCF. I am not sure what the WCf and WDF stand for, and cnnot find the info. online. looking for a value range. Everything is original and in fair condition. Looking for approximate value.

Thanks in advance.

we need serial numbers for your winchesters before we can be sure what years they were made ,,just give us the number like this 123xxx ,,the old models are worth much more than the newer ones and there were alot of different variations of both your rifles,,so give us as much details as you can ,,like barrel lenght and type eg round or octagon,,also let us know if the stocks are checkered or plain ,,these features help us to determine a little about what we are valueing,,thanks

hello and thanks for the info,,your first rifle is a mistery rifle ,,the serial number says it was made in 1893 but the caliber and the double triggers were not a standard option,,the 92 was only available with a 38 cal in 38-40 WCF from what my books tell me so i'm not sure what caliber it actually is ,,it may have been a special order or someone has had it gunsmithed at some time,,a gunsmith or the factory may also have installed the double set triggers so it's a real oddball,,but may exceed the prices listed in my books for a custom 1 of a kind rifle,,there was another post here a couple weeks back reguarding a 25" barrel model that only 5 i beleive the poster stated were made,,this may fall into that catagory and may be something to really do some more research on.. also you may be a little off with your measurements ..thats easy to do with a winchester.. that said ,,book values for a standard grade rifle with 24"octagon barrel would be 1250 good-5000 excellent, and again i strongly recommend contacting the cody mueseum for more information on this one!,,your second rifle ,,the model 94 was made in 1908 and the barrel should be 26" this is whats called the sporting rifle,,book value on this one is 1250 fair-7000 excellent,,both are very good collectors items and a hands on apprasial would be very benificial for the correct value for resale or insurance purposes,,
