Model 1698 Springfield Armory s/n 380540

Can you tell me how much a Model 1898 Springfield Armory rifle with a s/n of 38540 is worth?

it sounds like you have a krag rifle ..with the serial number provided it should be a rifle model with a 30" barrel,,wood will run to within 6"or so of the end of the barrel and should have a upper handguard ,,if it doesn't it may have been shortened at some time to carbine lenght by either someone or ther were some arsenal shortened ,,a complete and correct krag rifle will bring around 1000+ depending how correct and original it is ,,
