My father, who was a WWII vet, gave me his 30/06 model 03-A3. The serial number is 3940471. Stamped in the stock, below the trigger are the letters FJA, and also RA. The is some kind of insignia also stamped there, but I can't make it out. Can anyone provide the year it was made, and what the letters stand for. Also, is there any web site where I can find out the military sites the weapon may have been shipped to??
