hello the 620 was a stevens brand model not a savage model# savage had a md 20,,the 620 was made between 1927-1953 and i'n not aware of any factory records for stevens shotguns by serial numbers ,,and i don't think your gonna find anything for western feild trade names either,,if anyone out there know of any of these records please correct me here ,,values on these shotguns are very minimal and would range from 100-around 200 if extremly clean,,

Montgomery Ward
Sold firearms manufactured under the following models
Model Manufactuer's Name Manfactuers Model Number Model Manfactuers Name Manufactuers Model Number

48 Mossberg 45A/ MO40N Stevens 820
48A Mossberg 45B /MO51 Stevens 515
50 Marlin 515/ MO59 Stevens 87
50 Stevens 315 /MO60 Stevens 620
52 Savage 315/ MO80 Stevens 29 & 75
60 Savage 620A /MO87 Stevens 87
60SB Savage 620A /SB60A Savage 620

This was taken for the web-site gun-data.com. So this is all I have to work with. By this chart the Stevens 620 was a Western Field Mdl MO 60. I have a Montgomery Ward Western Field Mdl SB 60A, which again by this chart is an Savage 620. The difference between the two, I don't have a clue. I'm not looking to sell it so price is not a big thing. I know they where on the cheaper end of the $ zone. I'm just interested in MFG date for this gun. I'm going to guess that they where both produced about the same time, 1927-1953. To bad the records where lost or what ever happened to them. Thanks for your help bigcurt, at least you got me closer to a date. Because of the lack of records, I'll prob never know the true MFG date for this gun. Woody73
