dad has a marlin 12 ga. "The Original Goose Gun" 100th anniversery edition made in 1970. any guess on the value of this gun may have had 4 boxes fired through it great condition too. S/N 70278141. thanks for any help

the original marlin "goose gun" was the model 55 bolt action that was made starting in 1962 and was still being made as late as 1997 with slight mods,,your dads gun in the condition stated should be worth between 175-300 and for trade purposes somewhere between 125-225,depending on the dealer and the trade.

i have an original marlin 55 goose gun for sale.It is totally redone stock and barrel etc... it is teflon coated ,not blued .this will last a long time..shoots great and can kill a turkey at a hundred yards.price is 300.00 firm 662-574-1924

This is an original 55 model, 36 in barrel .in great shape, i don't think you'd be disappointed...i'd love to keep it and the ONLY reason for sale is it is too long for my gun safe...its easier to just sell than buy a new safe for this one gun.
