I was wondering what my weapon might be worth?
It is a Ithica- M 1911 AI U.S. Army stamped... United States Property No. 1255XXX
Also stamped;
by the hammer; (right side) a circle type stamp
by the eject; P
by the trigger; (front Left side) H
by the trigger; (front Right side) 7
by the trigger; (back side left, above eject)FJA

I am NOT selling/Just curious...
Would be extremely greatful on any info. on this weapon...
thanks,
Deni

hello,,You have a very nice weapon there ,,and I must thank you for your excellent description ,,it sure makes my job easier!

..Made in 1943 and it sounds like it's correct,,the H marked on the frame indicates a colt made frame and adds to the value,,the FJA mark stands for Frank J Atwater.. the inspector who checked it before shipment..looking at your picture i'd say condition is excellent and i'd value it at between 1500-2000,,at auction or to a 1911 collector and possibly it could go higher if listed properly..very nice pistol and a great description,,also a nice high power to keep it company..lol..
