Hello, this is my first time here. I found this gun part in south Florida while cleaning some bushes off the property. Any idea of what it may have belonged to or what era it's from? Would a collector be interested? It seems too cool to discard. I would appreciate any assistance.

hi reggrat,
you're probly going to have to take it to someone with exsperiance in old spanish firearms. i'm not that up to date on gunsmith types. a gunsmith maybe able to give you more information by examining how it was put together.

It seriously looks like something off of a toy.

Looks similar.

Thanks for the info and the link. I couldn't see a close up of the toy gun's hammer design. However, it may indeed be a toy since I found it in a residential backyard. But I could swear it looks like there is a hole for a fuse or powder or something under where the hammer strikes. It doesn't look quite like something from a cap gun. I'll keep searching.
