Hello: I am looking for the value of my gun. It is a Winchester Model 12 12 GA. It is in very good condition. It does not have a "poly choke" on it. The barrel is raised rib, double bead, full choke. It has a 2 3/4 inch chamber. S/N is 1085027. There is some engraving on the chamber - on the right side, the scene is 4 mallards flying low over a marsh. On the left side, the scene is two pointers on point flushing a grouse. There is about a 1 inch recoil pad. The stock and forarem match with nice dark burled wood. No rust at all - this is a nice gun. Can anyone tell me how to sell it and what I might get. I can send pictures. Thanks. Mike

your winchester md 12 appeares to have been made in 1947 but the refrences i have don't have any listings for an engraved model 12 during this year,,it may be a special order or it could be a post 64 special edition gun,,without knowing if it came this way or if it's aspecial edition post 64 model it would not be very hard to estimate the value,,standard model 12's are bringing between 275-500 in good condition,,but this doesn't sound like a standard model,,more research is nessicary before you try to sell it so you could get an accurate value..the cody museum will research it for a fee..but that would tell you exactly what you have and when it was made,,mabey another collector will chime in and help with the features question and correct value
