I'm trying to find a ballpark value for a Winchester Model 12, 12 GA shotgun, full choke, SN 19459xx, 28" barrel. The blueing is slightly worn, and the wood is in good shape, with no scratches, but a couple dings. No pitting, or rust. It doesn't have a vent rib, I think it is all original, the SN on receiver & barrel match, etc. Anyonme have any ideas? I want to sell it at a gun show, but don't want to get taken. Any help will be much appreciated.

hi bama,
your model 12 was manufactured in 1962, you should see 450 - 500 easily for a pre '64 model 12 in good condition.

Thanks much, Kim. I had paid $400 for it several years ago and had seen a couple at gun shows in the $400 to $800 range, but didn't know enough to ask age, etc on them. So $500 sounds like a reasonable minimum I should go for. Thanks again.

hi elmer,
your model 12 was manufactured in 1947. value should be the same as the previous post. in the future it's much better to start a new post rather than contiue an older one. i can miss it toooo easy.

I just bought a model 12 in excellent condition. Serial # 151*** I believe that was a 1917 issue. 2 3\4" with take-down case. Anyone know what this is valued at?

The serial for my Model 12 - 12 guage is 1761637. In very good to excellent condition. My father owned it since I can remember. He got it back in the mid 60's and gave the gun to me after he passed away. It was used but not much.
