hello ,,well first off it's gotta have a serial number or someones removed it in which case ..don't get caught with it or it could be jail time ,,being chromed i'd say that the markings were removed or possibly covered by the chroming prosess ,,value ?? it doesn't have alot of value for 2 reasons ,,no way to record it in the books without a serial number ,,and no markings aren't going to help the value ,,who knows when it might have been made ! the second problem is the chrome plateing ..i bet it looks nice but collector frown on valuable guns that are chrome plated ,,it just takes just about all the collector value out the pistol,,so with all the above in mind i'd say your colt may be worth around a couple hundresd bucks as a parts gun for someone needing internal parts or as a shooter if somebody doesn't care about it not having serial numbers ,,to remove the chrome is possible but not cost effective on something like this ,,,sorry ,,if it was mine i would shoot it occasionally and not let too many people know theres no serial numbers on it,,because it is a violation of the good old atf+e's regulations not to mention state and local laws concerning unregestered firearms ,,just some friendly advice for ya,,take it or leave it ..
