Lefever arms corp. Ithaca NY 12 Ga. side by side. No serial no. Crude, "duck over reeds" stamp both sides. Right side barell reads Lefever Nitro Special. Bought used in 1935 by my 89 yr old grandfather at age 15. Any info or thoughts? Gun is nicely blued w/silver steel breach and trigger/hammer area. (Internal hammers) Chuck in Ma.

hello ,,lefever was a trade name of ithica between 1921-1948 and the nitro special would range from around 300 good -possible around 550 exc,,if a single trigger model add 100 and if auto ejectors add 200,,the receiver on these were case colored which resembles swirls in pruples reds +dark+
bigcurtlight blues,,these are good old feild guns and there are le fever collectors out there,,

Thanks again! I had used this one in a few trap shoots. Right bbl is full, left is mdfd? Dime won't fit in rt. one... Are auto ejectors the little half curls that push the spent shells out a half inch or so?
Thanks again, these were my grandfathers guns and are of more sentimental value than something I wood hock...
Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

hello again ,,auto ejectors are split in half so if you fire one barrel it will kick that shell out when you break it and the other shell will only come up so ya could pull it out if your unloading,,always here to help ..
