Big Kurt,
Thanks in advance for any help. The Krag I have is totally original, no scopes or "cut downs". it is Springfield Armory s/n 109976. I've had it to a gun smith and he says don't be afraid to shoot it. The Barrel is pristeen, almost a mirror. There are some scratches, but the smith said it was the best one he had seen in a while. My trouble is I see the value on the internet anywhere from $500 to $10k. I'm so confused! Any info would be welcome, again thanks.

hello ,,does it have a date stamped on it / there were a couple date/ models,,it sounds like an easy 1000+ but the date will help,,i'm not sure about the 10000 figure but i suppose you could ask for whatever ,,but it doesn't mean thats what it sold for ,,lol,,as for shooting it i would the old krags still have alot of life in them if you stay within factory specs with ammo,,sounds like you have a nice one !
