Greetings to all,

I have no blackpowder firearm expertise, but I am in possession of one through family.

The rifle has a 32.5 inch barrel, and is 36 ca.
I can find no name or numbers on the rifle, only two sets of stamped / rolled?? marks on the top of the barrel about 4 in. apart, image of both attached.
On the inside of the hinged patchbox door it appears to have a name / maker, but I can't make any sense out of it, image included

Any observations / opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time,
Leonard

Great photos and I still cant help you but suggest you might try this forum, very good group of guys there as well, your rifle has age to it, might try doing a rubbing on the writing with soft lead pencil and map paper or thin white wrapping paper.

I can suggest these guys,

Your rifle does show a bit of age, but,
I believe it is a custom made replica as the patchbox appears to be a more modern casting w/a cast in mold or part number on the inside of the lid. It appears to be quite well done.
