I have a Kentucky Rifle in almost original condition. It has some damage (split wood) and repair to the stock. My father bought it in the early 60s at a gun show for $200.00. It is curly maple and has a wondeful original patina. It is stamped . . each letter individually, not engraved with the name "J Golcher" so I take this to be the name of the owner, not the manufacuurer. Does anybody have a clue what it should sell for?
Many thanks
Lee

hi lee,
i don't have a clue, maybe some civil war buffs or someone else will pick up on this. you may need to have it appraised for insurance to find out. JMHO
