Just bought a wards hercules model 10 which seems to be a stevans model 94b ! This gun however has a burl walnut stock with a sknable forarm ! It also has hand cut checkering ! Whats up with that ! It seams to be a original stock !Did they actually make this gun like this ? How old do you think it is ? E 20 Z is stamped on the barrel

My father just gave me this gun this evening. He bought it at a swap shop in 1948 for 5 bucks. It is a WARDS HERCULES, model 10, and a 94B is stamped on the side and a 13 with a circle around it next to the barrel. Single shot 16 ga., seems to work excellant. I am trying to date it but no luck.
