Hello

Has anyone seen anything on a "Jana-Denver" side-by-side double barrell 12-G shotgun. I'm trying to value one and can't seem to make heads or tails of it. The top of the barrell shows "Made in Spain" and also has imprinted on it "Jana-Denver, CO". Its a nice shotgun with scribe work on the metal. Any info/help appreciated. Thanks!

hello i haven't seen anything marked as you stated ,,i do see spanish doubles quite often and most have scroll engraved receivers ,,quality is good on these and they usually sell in the 200-350 range depending on condition in my part of the country,,i have seen alot of spanish shotguns imported by FI (firearms international)and AYA and then distributed to other dealers ,,the jana- denver co. may be the importer or who sold it after is was imported,,(update)=i did some research on the name and got some hits and info on them and prices are all over the spectrum,,alot of people like them and depending where your at in some aeras doubles sell better than others,,but in the ohio/pa aera ther selling at prices i listed..

I also have a 12 ga SxS Jana-Denver.
It has a crest on it ans it says "Loyola"
It is a very nice shotgun, appears to be fairly high quality. Shoots 2-3/4" and 3".

Hi bigcurt
The receiver, barrels, and stock is marked made in Spain. Barrels and receiver not blued. Barrels have green tint to them. Nobel imported these sxs 1953 to 1971. Receiver has a floor plate attached by one screw which I can't remove. Also can't remove the stock. Engraving and checkering are poor quality. Any advise will be appreciated JNJ

Hi--I bought a Spanish double new in 1973. It is a 20 gauge chambered for 3 inch. It was made by Lucio Loyola and imported by Jana.It is a nice little gun and metal to wood fit is very good. Durability of finish on stock was not so good. New, the gun cost $110.00. At the time, 12 gauge was the same price. There is a 20 gauge listed on Gun's International (supposedly in very good condition) and asking price is $800.00. Hope this helps.
