I've inherited a colt automatic calibre 25, serial #406xxx, blue steel, walnut grips, good to very good condition, last patent date on stamping is july 31, 1917. It's been passed down in the family at least three generations.I'm curious about its approximate value if anyone can help?

hello,,it sounds like you may have a model 1908 hammerless pocket pistol,,made from 1908-1941 ,,and yours appeares to have been made in 1939 judging from your 406,000+ serial number,,value would range from 300 good -around 500 exc,, mabey a little more if extra clean or if ya still have the original box..
