I've got an Argentine Mauser Modelo 1891 in 7.65 x 53. Made by Lowe in Berlin. All the #'s match.
This rifle is in "very" nice condition (90%) with a bright bore. Serial #0xxx. Any idea of a good starting point for pricing would be ? I'm thinking of listing it on one of the used gun sites or Ebay or the like.

I saw one in very good condition all original last night priced at $895.00 I was shocked my dad bought one out of a barrel full of old military rifles for $50.00..But that was 40 years ago. My cousin ended up with it. He had the barrel cut down and changed the sights. I liked it better in it's original condition.Good shooting gun that will knock down a good sized pine tree.

I am not sure what you can post the 1891 for, but i've seen reports of them bring a fairly good price of upwards of $1000.00 and more. Perhaps someone at a local gun shop with an antique guide of gun prices in your area has a good idea.
By the way do you have any rounds for a 7.65x53 that you want to get rid of? I am looking.
